Membership
In order to be in good standing with Women's Council of EBR all members MUST be financial members of the Empire Board of Realtists. Membership is Non-Refundable. General Membership does not include membership to Women's Council of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers.
Any member of the Empire Board of Realtists, engage in the Real Estate profession shall be eligible for active membership with the Women’s Council. A member is defined as a person who is financial and in good standing in the Women’s Council and the Empire Board of Realtists. Every active member of the Women’s Council of EBR shall also be a member of the National Women’s Council of NAREB. Affiliate members include individuals engaged in a specialty of the Real Estate business and who are not in association with a Real Estate firm engage in the sale, rental, management, appraisal of real property and who shall hold membership in EBR.
DUES
Annual membership dues for all members of the Women’s Council shall be fifty dollars ($50.00) with twenty-five dollars ($25.00) being paid to the National Women’s Council for each member.
(a) Annual membership dues shall be due and payable by the first day of January each year to the Women’s Council of EBR.
(b) Annual Women’s Council Chapter dues are one hundred dollars ($100.00) payable to the Women’s Council of NAREB, and two hundred dollars ($200.00) to EBR due on January 1, but not later than March 31, of each year.
(c) Dues received after October 1, shall be credited to the following year. (This applies only to new members)
(d) Any member delinquent in dues after March 31 shall automatically be dropped from the membership roll and will not be eligible to participate in any business activities of the Women’s Council.
(e) Any officer dropped from the active roster for non-payment of dues, shall not be reinstated for the current elected term. This position shall be appointed by the unanimous recommendation of the Board of Governors.
Broker Member
Any person who at the time of the application for membership is licensed by the State Department of Real Estate as a real estate broker. They are actively engaged in the real estate business as the designated or employing broker of such business.
Salesperson Member
Any person who at the time of the application for membership is licensed by the State Department of Real Estate as a real estate salesperson and is employed by a broker.
Affiliate Member
Any person who is in a real estate related profession, occupation, or trade.
General Member
Any person who supports the mission of the organization and wants to actively assist in achieving those goals. A General Member has the same voting rights as other members, but may not hold the office of President, Vice-President, Second Vice-President or President elect.

Q: Are you part of the Empire Board of Realtists? A: We are a proud affiliate of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers and housed at EBR headquarters, but our programming, events, and scholarships operate independently under the Women’s Council of EBR.
Q: Can I sponsor both the Women’s Council and EBR? A: Yes, and we welcome it! However, please note that sponsorships for WCEBR support our unique programs and scholarships for women in real estate.

Q: Do I have to be a broker to join? A: No. We welcome agents, affiliates, and those passionate about empowering women in real estate. We offer several membership types.
Q: How is WCEBR different from WC of NAREB? A: WCEBR is your local Women’s Council chapter in Atlanta. We operate under the guidance of WCNAREB but manage our own programs and initiatives focused on the Metro Atlanta community.
Q: How is WCEBR different from the Empire Board of Realtists? A: While we are housed at the same location and share a mutual commitment to advancing Black homeownership, WCEBR operates independently with its own leadership, events, sponsors, and programs. We are the women’s affiliate of NAREB and are uniquely focused on empowering women and promoting leadership through our own scholarships, community outreach, and financial literacy initiatives.
